This poster presentation describes a research project to design and construct a thermoelectric generator using solar thermal energy. A parabolic dish concentrates solar radiation onto an aluminum sheet to absorb the heat. The hot side of a thermoelectric generator device is mounted on the aluminum sheet. Cooling fans are installed on the cold side. Data was collected from experiments conducted in northeast Thailand, with a maximum temperature of 515.7 K and power output of 6.28 W recorded.

Design and construction of a thermoelectric
generator by using solar thermal energy This research aimed to design and construct a thermoelectric generator by using solar energy as a heat source, a parabolic dishes having diameter 1.5 m. with a focal length 0.5 m. is used to concentrate the solar radia- tion. Solar thermal energy is absorbed by a sheet of aluminum on focal zone. The hot side of thermoelectric generator (TEG) device was mounted on an aluminum sheet, heat sink with dimensions 120 x 200 x 50 mm. and cooling fans were installing on the cold side of TEG. Our experiment on 28th and 29th march 2016 at department of physics, faculty of science ubon ratchathani university on the north east of Thailand. Perform collection of the data from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. From the result of experiment, at 12:30 on 28th March max- imum temperature from solar radiation heat on hot side of TEG is 515.7 K, when intensity of solar energy is 1092 w/mˆ2 and the maximum power output is 6.28 W.
