Eligibility Determination Process

● Candidates at or near 50% of possible points are invited to participate in qualifying tests. 
● Parents of those not proceeding are informed of the option to appeal .

● There is no set count to the identified-gifted roster; each case is deliberated individually. 
● Typically eligibility occurs at scores > 40% available points.  

Parents of candidates are informed of their child’s eligibility outcome. 

Early  ● Eligible candidates receive information on program schedules. 

October  ● Ineligible candidates may be referred again the following year.   
○ Screening assessments for giftedness in elem. students can be repeated after two years.  
○ All other components may be submitted annually.
