As a manager of important infrastructure, The Jacques Cartier and Les Ponts Jacques
Champlain Bridges Incorporated (the Corporation) is a federal Crown Cartier et Champlain
corporation established in 1978 that is responsible for the Jacques Incorporée (PJCCI)
Cartier Bridge, the Champlain Bridge, the Champlain Bridge Ice HR
Control Structure, the Île des Sœurs Bypass Bridge, the federal 1225, rue Saint-Charles
sections of Bonaventure Expressway and the Honoré Mercier Bridge, Ouest, 5e étage,

Every day, the Corporation ensures a safe drive for thousands of aviau@pjcci.ca
users by managing, maintaining and repairing this important
infrastructure for Greater Montreal. The Corporation also ensures
that these critical structures remain safe, fully functional and
aesthetically pleasing both today and in the future. It conducts
construction, rehabilitation and reinforcement projects on the
infrastructure under its responsibility and oversees the operation and
maintenance of these structures.

 
Reporting to the Engineer, Research and Development, the intern will
actively help implement and meet the goals of research and
innovation projects by collecting data, synthesizing information,
preparing technical and administrative documents, and implementing
and monitoring projects.
 

SUMMARY
 
·        Participate in innovation opportunity studies in terms of
maintenance of structures (repair and reinforcement);

·         Support the RAD in the various eld activities within the
framework of pilot applications on our structures;

·         Perform a bibliographic exploration of innovative solutions in

terms of repair technique and new construction and rehabilitation
materials;

·         Help monitor and manage a project relating to the life-cycle

analysis of certain sensitive elements of our structures;
·         Support the RAD with the technical monitoring and
coordination of research projects;

·         Participation in the monitoring and management of a project

relating to the seismic performance studies of our structures;

·         Perform the synthesis and compilation of structural inspection

date, analysis and categorization of damage;

·         Prepare databases with speci c data about our structures

using an Excel spreadsheet (or others) to better categorize items;
·         Help prepare technical presentations depending on the speci c
needs of the RAD;

·         Perform any other job-related tasks and duties.

Quali cations
• Be in a bachelor's program in civil engineering / structure (more
than 45 credits completed);
• Have excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, MS Project, AutoCAD,
Outlook and Internet Explorer;
• Knowledge of Access and AutoCAD is an asset;
• Be a self-starter, independent and proactive;
• Work well on a team and have highly developed organizational
skills;
• Be able to work in a changing environment;
• Pro ciency in written and spoken French and a very good
knowledge of English (oral and written);
