after the issue of declining sales of Neeta

Introduction

Neeta Malhotra Creations………….


One of the most well known and learned designer
company of this era .We have reached great heights in a
span of just 10 years. Our creations create a huge
amount of stuff for ladies .We specialize in sarees,
western outfits, designer rainwear’s, jewellery and
accessories and many more
Our uniqueness attracts the high standard crowd of our
nation
TERMS OF REFRENCE

The committee was appointed by the board of directors


of the Co. Neeta Malhotra creations.
It was appointed with the objective of looking after the
issue of declining sales of the company.
The committee consists of Aastha, Sneha, Nimit,
Jaydeep and Shreyas.
The committee has worked on this for about 3 months
and has made some findings and also come up with
some suggestions.
PROCEDURE

A] Committee met three times respectively on 20th June,


25th July,28th August 2010

B] Our 3 main outlets were visited by the committee.

C] Buyers choice decisions were observed for 3 months.

D] Then a comparative study was made with the help of


data and findings.

E] Then with the help of these data and findings the


problems were noted down
And eventually the committee came up with some
recommendations
FINDINGS:
From the investigation the committee arrived at the
following conclusions.
The decline in the no. of designer wears became sharp
in May 2010 , although there was a gradual decline over
the four months before that.
The sale fell down by about 30% in May 2010 with the
arrival of new competitors Marc Robbinson and Rohit
Behl in the market
The main reasons for the decline in sales are as follows
1] The clothes and accessories in our boutiques are
costlier than that of new arrived competitors. Hence
clients are preferring them.
2] Our stock has less of the latest trend or
contemporary clothes which attracts the young crowd.
3] The advertising is not that good enough to create an
impact on the minds of the people
4] It has been observed that from last 6 to 7 months
there has been change in the quality of fabric used. The
fabric used is of low quality
5] The clothes and accessories designed lack the
X-factor which is observed in the clothes of the new
designers. There is lack of creativity observed as
compared to our competitors
RECOMMENDATIONS
1] Experienced tailors and staff should be appointed.
2] Professional assistants should be appointed to assist
the designer.
3] An intensive advertising and sales campaign should
be launched in order to win back the lost market.
4] Follow up correspondence should be maintained with
all former customers in order to regain and build up old
contacts
5]a constant market survey of prices of the clothes and
accessories should be done inorder to ensure the
correct pricing of the product.
6] Good offers and discounts should be kept at special
occasion and festivals to attract the customers.
