Course Specification
1. COURSE PROFILE
1.1 Course Description
The Course introduces students to circular and trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities, and to
the polar coordinate system. The students then apply concepts in these topics to applications in problem
solving.
2. COURSE DESIGN
2.1 Course Aims
The course aims to:
1. demonstrate the ability to use trigonometric functions to find the parts of a right
triangle and to solve problems involving right triangles.
2. accurately identify the properties and graphs of the six trigonometric functions.
3. accurately verify trigonometric identities
