Programos Foundation and the entire WSA-NIGERIA and INNOVATIONBED family have a
good cause to celebrate our INNOVATIONBED producers and the country Nigeria at its
60th anniversary.

The world's number one and best e-content award system WSA's call for participation ended
yesterday 30th September, 2020 across the globe, and we are grateful to have concluded the
country's National PRE-SELECTION events and hereby announce the result as 5 startups
emerge winners and national nominees in 5 categories to represent Nigeria in the global
competition.
WSA National Expert with His Excellency Engr. Rauf Aregbesola Honorable Minister for the
Ministry of Interior in Colombo, Sri Lanka just before receiving his prestigious WSA Awards in
Learning and Education while as Executive Governor of Osun State. He remains the Chairman
of the Innovationbed Research Council.

We feel fulfilled when our programmes identify with national growth and envisions that through
them a foundation for smart city and connected communities is being laid in our society as we
promote the most creative homegrown innovations from the 36 states of Nigeria to the world on
a yearly basis.

1. Floews: Flood Early Warning System by Abubakar Bashir from Gombe State
emerged winner and WSA Nigeria's National Nominee in Environment and Green
Energy category.
FLOEWS is dematerializing, demonetizing and democratizing access to social inclusive
flood disaster management & early warning systems to flood vulnerable individuals,
communities & economies, towards a reduction in devastation among lives, properties,
utility & infrastructure, biodiversity, food & water supply, economic losses estimated in
$billions. FLOEWS is a multiple-award winning effort of the startup who have improved
on this solution for environment protection. FLOEWS emerged the national nominee
2020 in the Environment and green Energy category giving its outstanding performance
and presentation during the stages of national pre-selection programme.
2. CovidTogether by Keston Agboro from Delta State emerged winner and WSA
Nigeria's National Nominee in Health and Lifestyle category.
CovidTogether app wins: Efficient contact tracing activity in Africa was about one of the
most difficult parts of the life-saving public health demands of the covid-19
pandemonium particularly in Nigeria. The CovidTogether app became very useful in the
crisis period as it lent its tech to harmonising and complimenting the efforts of the Nigeria
Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. The key feature of CovidTogether that exhibited
good Bluetooth Low Energy performance for Human Proximity and contacts detection
made it an outstanding local solution that matched incidents with protective IDs
respecting privacy and alerts in real terms, geolocating nearest isolation centers for
proper attention. CovidTogether emerged victorious in the health category as the
national Nominee given its local impact as dully appraised at the concluded virtual
national pre-selection conference held by our foundation in Nigeria.

3. Edupoint by Udebuana Oscar Obiora from Anambra state emerged winner and WSA
Nigeria's National Nominee in Learning and Education category.
EDUPOINT: The COVID-19 impact further stressed the need for highly trained quality
professionals for our education sector. Covid-19 actually compounded problems in
educational standards as well as threatened the prosperity of teaching capacity in the
sector - as many teachers have had to helplessly look for alternative sources of income.
EduPoint - an educational app that incorporated Artificial Intelligence to improve the
process of matching students with the right option of teachers and optimizing the
learning experience for students and teachers, emerged the winner as National Nominee
in the eLearning & Education category from Nigeria. The solution easily differentiates
itself from other solutions leveraging the power of technology to measure, monitor, and
improve the learning outcomes for the student. Scale both sides of the marketplace
resulting in lesser charges for the learners and higher commission for tutors within the
system. The Edupoint digital platforms had over 2000 learners on the platform and have
built a sustainable solution bridging challenges of the underserved society education
wise. They exhibited a great team!

4. HelpTalk by Mayowa Adegoke from Lagos state emerged winner and WSA Nigeria’s
National Nominee in Government and Citizens Engagement category.
HelpTalk has improved the way and manner citizens access appropriate government
agencies for relaying complaints of social insecurity for justice. HelpTalk was the product
that emerged best in the category during the National Pre-Selection programme for WSA
2020 in Nigeria.

5. PngMe (https://vimeo.com/457965335) by Adeola Olasewere from Lagos State

emerged winner and WSA Nigeria’s National Nominee in the Business and Commerce
category. This year's tech scouting opened a great opportunity that made us discover a
product that won in the Business and Commerce category called PngMe. PngMe
currently resolves that problem of a unified open API, open banking platform. This
serves as a great financial infrastructure that empowers developers and financial
institutions to ride efficiently on the financial data infrastructure sandbox without
re-inventing the will! On boarding of extensive financially unincluded citizens within and
after the covid era is a key value proposition of PngMe. They exhibit a great team.
6.
Sadaqqah (Giving, Gifting, Helping) (url: Sadaqqah.com) by Odunayo Williams of
Lagos state emerged winner and WSA Nigeria's National Nominee in the Inclusion
and Empowerment category. We are happy to announce the Giving, Gifting, Helping
aka Sadaqqah product as the National Nominee under the inclusion and Empowerment
category from Nigeria. The way they have used technology to solve: Identifying who
needs what which can be mind-boggling, Packaging and giving out unused items can be
cumbersome, Identifying charities/care homes in Nigeria and supporting them with items
they really need is difficult. 4. Generally, gifting/giving includes a manual process of
finding someone who wants and values what you have to gift out and then making
arrangements to have the gift delivered to or picked up by the beneficiary. Sadaqqah’s
major strength is simplicity and has simplified the whole process of giving out unused
items.

Our base framework and principle are in sync with Presidential Statements:
