5.10. IMODAN SWO – Stop Work Order

It is the policy of IMODAN LOGISTICS SERVICES NIGERIA

LIMITED that all working activities of the company should be carried
out under safe and secured working procedure in accordance with
sections 63-68 of the Factories Act (Cap. F1 LNR 2004)

Accordingly, all categories of work and their detail task should be

executed ONLY under safe wok procedures and conditions and where
and when necessary an order to sop work (SWO) is issued by the
Project Supervisor or HSE Supervisor.

The objectives or implications of this policy are to demonstrate

company ability to:

 Identify unsafe work act/procedure or material and to implement the

issuance of a Stop Work Order.
 Explain who is authorized to issue a Stop Work Order
 Prepare a Stop Work Order
 Explain the Stop Work Order to the contractor
 Create room for modification to the existing order and procedure
