Angels and Archetypes

p5 Culture has glamorized and popularized the concrete functions fo the left brain,
leaving the more symbolic realms largely uncharted and forbidden
[disagree – left analytic training is reserved as a job skill for a few techies. Most
people live in a shadowy dream world of symbols and mythology]

Women: loss of voice and self in the community is due to their diffusive quality, when
she is not separate from other, but part of a social net.
The male psyche is attuned to repressive discipline and compartmentalized emotion.

Women need to consult their feelings instead of seeking external validation.

[disagree – one of the most-often cited reasons for women not making it in the
corporate world is that they are not “team players”. That was one of the rationales for
buiding up women’s sports. Whether it is true or not, it speaks to the strong team
mentality that we build in the male culture, whether it be corporate, military or religious.
The main exception is the star system, when individualistic efforts pay off, in the right-
brain dominated creative world of the arts.]

p6 Patriarchy refers to the dominant mindset, which for the past 5000 years has
worked to free the ego from the one. The Matriarchy is a pervasively psychic situation
with the dominance of the unconscious, and the lunar cycles’ relation with the life-giving
womb. Planting and harvesting, spinning and weaving, food prep and alcohol making
were the rituals of women.

p7 Modern dominance of left-brain thinking leads to a renewed sense of spirituality,

which cannot be met by organized religion, which comes out of a tradition of misogyny
and the development of a vengeful, fearsome male deity and his authoritarian judgmental
priests who left a cellular memory and cultural institution descending from the
Inquisition. The fear and pain of historic persecution have been locked into the collective
unconsciousness.

p8 In the process of growth, we acknowledge and integrate all the archetypes,

avoiding emanation and rejection both. This is a process that we have to learn, as it is
different from what our society teaches us.

p11 Angels – links to our higher selves, beings of connection, not control. We must
be conscioius of their presence to receive their wisdom.

p12 An openhearted state. The focused intention and body purification can put us in
touch with the higher frequencies and higher dimensional consciousness that is the
grounding spiritual energy of the world.

p14 We connect with angels as we evolve our consciousness.
