24 hour day in sunlight, and part of the day in darkness (as indicated by the shaded region).

Lokasi yang miring ke arah matahari akan memiliki lebih banyak jam sinar matahari. Karena
kutub selatan dimiringkan ke arah matahari dalam diagram, lokasi-lokasi di kutub selatan (C) dan
bergerak ke utara akan memiliki siang hari yang lebih panjang. Mereka yang berada di kutub
utara (miring jauh dari matahari) akan memiliki jam siang terpendek.
