When I decided to do the programme in HR, XLRI was an obvious choice for me as it
is the best institute in the country in the HR domain. The PGCHRM is a wonderfully
designed programme for working professionals like me. The instruction is a classic blend
of theory and practical, with two 3-hour sessions per week. The faculty uses numerous
relevant examples from everyday work life which provide in-depth knowledge. The live
interactive sessions gives you an opportunity to talk to professors live in the class, ask
questions and get instant feedback. This is the ideal programme for a deep and definite
understanding of the role, function and responsibility of an HRM professional.

Learning from the experienced faculty of XLRI helped me achieve my objectives behind
enrolling in the programme. The projects and assignments in this programme really
help to strengthen theoretical foundations of domains that are not in your purview.
Although I was a compensation professional, I got to learn about various roles and
responsibilities in performance management and talent management as well. It was a
great learning experience for me and there couldn’t be a better institute than XLRI. If
you want a formal knowledge of HR, this is the ideal programme that will lead to a big
career advancement.

I joined the PGCHRM with an objective to get integrated with the latest trends in the
industry. The programme and the curriculum gave me sufficient exposure to the overall
industry and market trends. This programme didn’t just give us the multidimensional
components of HR, but also components beyond the domain of HR, along with their
importance. The virtual learning platform enabled real time interaction with the faculty
and also enabled networking with peers and exchange learnings and ideas.

The professors not only enriched us with theoretical knowledge but also enlightened
us on how to apply that knowledge into our day-to-day professional lives. The campus
component was a wonderful experience because we directly interacted with the
professors and it was a good learning platform all together. It was rich and enabling
environment where we got to conduct many employee engagement activities. For me,
XLRI is one of the most important platforms to increase our knowledge, experience and
learning in the corporate world as an HR professional.
