The new GUNBOAT 60 is the largest reasonably managed yacht that can be operated by the
owner without crew. Kept simple, the spaces are well designed to achieve ample privacy
and spaces for a couple and friends or a family for extended cruising. The GUNBOAT 60 is
designed to be suitable for day-sailing, sabbatical cruising, or year-round world-cruising.
The new GUNBOAT 60 applies all of Gunboat’s learning from over two million sea miles with
its earlier 62’ & 66’ series. The new Gunboat 60 promises to be an exceptional package.

BENEFITS
Never has handling a mega-cat been so easy. Within two steps of the helm are the sail
and anchor controls, as well as the nav station. The forward cockpit offers unfettered and
unobstructed access for a sailing crew of one.

Flow is key to design. The indoor-outdoor helm opens up to the forward working cockpit.
All sail and anchor controls are two steps from the helm. The aft porch is dedicated to
relaxation, and if you like, sun worship. Elements of work and play are kept apart so every-
one can put their worries away.

With all sail controls leading into the forward cockpit, there is no reason to walk along the
rail of the boat. Known to cruisers as the “death walk,” this walk is a thing of the past as
you can step out of the safety of the main cabin into the forward cockpit to reef the main,
hoist or furl any sail, and do all your trimming.

FEATURES
Visibility: 360 Degree View
Whether you’re cooking, helming, navigating, lounging, playing, or sunning, from any point
it seems there is a 360 degree view of the horizon. It only takes 10 minutes to sail there, so
safety demands that visibility be excellent.

Speed = Safety
The ultimate safety feature is pure speed. Sail around storms. If a storm is unavoidable,
safety is derived from the ability to surf sideways. With centerboards up, the round bottom
hulls will skate sideways along waves and the long high bows offer tremendous reserve
buoyancy. We believe mega catamarans are the safest platform for surviving the worst
weather. Engineered high tech composite structures, clean minimum wetted surface
underbodies, and strict weight centralization combine to deliver an easily driven platform
for high sustained passage making speeds. 300 nm days are common. 400 nm days are
possible.

Retractable Rudders
With rudders and centerboards retracted, Gunboats draw less than two feet of water. Imag-
ine the many shallow waters that are available. For sailing in shallow bays, the rudders
may be partially raised, without adverse affect on steering. Imagine the shallow cruising
grounds that are now open to explore.
