Prelim Worship Class.

2nd Semester 2018-2019

1.How would you describe worship and its impact in your life?

I describe worship as a food (Basic needs) sometime it is not what we want but it is the need of
every person or Christian . The impact of worship in my life is to give strength in my daily life
especially to my spiritual life. It help me to become stronger church leader because I consider
personal devotion is also a way of worship.another impact of worship in my life,through worship
my spiritual life has stronger.

2.What would be an example of “worshiping the true God in the wrong form”?

My observation worshiping the true God become wrong form of worship if we limit God in our
understanding,we put God in the basement.also wrong worship is that it is only a service or
organization (Church) memorization of the flow of worship.it is only a service not worship.it is
also consider wrong form of worship is that they people worship black Nazarene as the true God,

3.How do you think busy activity and emotional sensationalism may get in the way of true
worship?
Busy activity can be also a worship because im worship God mostly in the emotional way,like
praise and Worship.and singing hymns and playing guitar.

4.What are some things in your life that may become a distraction and get in the way of
your worship of God?
In the worship time the most distraction in my life is the children,they are shouting and
playing inside the church, and the congregation distracted and even me. and also my past
moment in life, my wrong doing before. My sin and sometime my spiritual preparation of
worship is lack of prayer,.

5.What three words or phrases would you use to describe God and why?
1.God is my provider, he provide my family needs my educational needs not only
material things but even people who become leader in the church,like youth people who
lead the children and youth. I consider that God will provide in his own way.
2.God is my comforter, he comfort me in the miserably times in my ministry.in every
ministry there’s a circumstances and problem we encounter but God is my comforter
when I fell rejection.
 3.God is my Father in heaven who listen and care for me and my family,and even im
make mistake in life he understand me and give me blessing. God is like a father who
always give the needs of the his childrens.
6. Why is it important for you to believe in the existence of God?
The existence of God is very importand,what for am believing to God if I’m not believe in his
existence,how can I preach his word if im not believe to him.as church leader we need to
believed first before we share about God. the existence of God is hard to explain in the
congregation but it is important to have a clearly understanding about the existence of God.

7.Idol worship may take different forms, what are some false gods that people can make a
higher priority than the true God?
Gadget is the most priority in life of the youth.the members are busy in their cellphone and
tablet that even in the worship service they bring their cellphone in the church.the older members
use the power of (atang) to healed the sickness. Sometime albalario is the first doctor in my
church assignment they priority the tradition.if the person did not healed they call their pastor to
pray.

8. Think of a time when God seemed far away in your life. What were the circumstances
and how did you respond?

When I’m forget to pray,is the time that I observe that God far away in me,if my morning
devotion and prayer time is not active in many days Gods power is far away in me. and when
my wife and I have a misunderstanding,I felt im far away to God.my responds was prayer,im
pray and ask forgiveness to God and to my wife.

9. In what areas of your life do you feel the weakest and especially in need of God's
support?

The weakest happening in my life is when my son is one month and the doctor found that he
have epilepsy,im questioning God in this moment specially when we in Baguio General Hospital
the doctor says that othe circulation of our babys heart was slow and they need to check the
water in the brain.this is the time that im questioning God power,but God know for the best of
his servant.

10. How do you feel when you consider that God sees everything you do and knows
everything you think? What impact does this have in your life?
When I commit sin I felt sad, because I believed that God knows everything in me, but most of
the time God was glorified because my ministry, God sees Every effort and every sacrifices in
the ministry and even the sacrifices in my family. The impact this is to encourage me in the
ministry.

11. What are some ways we can give God glory by our own words and deeds?

I volunteer to Parole and Probation ministry and I do this for the glory of God, I give my
complete tithes to the lord, and I lead my family in our prayer time. And I do ministry in the
community.
12. What are some practices you can employ to prepare your heart and mind for worship?

Before worship the most preparation for me is singing with playing the guitar, in Sunday worship
singing hymns is my practices before the worship and also prayer.but most of the time before
Sunday worship it is important to have a daily devotion and the text to be use is the text for the
Sunday.

13. Think of a time when God called you to repentance over something in your life. What
was your response and how have you grown since then?

I think the time when God called me to repent was before my marriage life, I get married when
my wife pregnant.so God called me to come back to him and these experience will lead me in
the higher level of faith. the bad experience is my inspirational in pursing the ministry because
God forgive me and give a chance to become his servant. I believed that God did not see our past
but God interested of what we can sacrifice for the ministry.

14. What has the Lord taught you recently through negative circumstances or personal
sacrifices? How can you use this as a catalyst for worship?

On my first year to my church assignment theirs a trials that give me a lesson in pastoral
ministry.the youth members want to follow the past pastor, and the past pastor also visited the
youth and make a fellowship near the church,and they go to botao/resort with their past pastor,I
felt down in this time,I felt im not effective pastor to the youth.maybe it is the problem of move
on,but it happen in a long time,in my ministry experience this is the sadness encounter with my
wife,so we pray to lord and go to the DS and tell everything happen in my church.this situation
was use by God to become a strong soldier of Christ.
15. How has your attitude and understanding of worship changed since reading this
book(Worship Maze)? How has your life been impacted?

Reading and listening to the report of this book have a big impact to me as worship leader, in this
book we need to meet the need for worship, we need to see/consider the age gap or what kind of
generation of our members and make a appropriate way of worship for them. In this subject I
learn that in every worshiper theirs a different need for worship. Worship is our responds to
Gods blessing so that worship is not only in the church services but in every time and anywhere.
