IMBALANCES, RDS, ATELECTASIS
Introduction:
Chest Physiotherapy (CPT) is a
technique used to mobilize or loose
secretions in the lungs and respiratory
tract. This is especially helpful for
patients with large amount of secretions
or ineffective cough.
Introduction:

The topic Chest Physiotherapy in this

module is a continuation of the discussion of
the topics discussed in module 3.
The main topics for this module will focus
on Acid Base Regulation, Acid Base
Imbalance, ABG Interpretation, Respiratory
Distress Syndrome and Atelectasis.
Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this module, the

students will be able to :
1. Provide nursing care to client while
undergoing Chest Physiotherapy.
2. Discuss the Acid Base balance and
imbalances.
