from project #2.
Grammar Writing Process Summarizing is analyzing information and determining what is important
to mention and what is not. lt reduces the original text to a few sentences or a short paragraph in
your own words.
Steps to summarize:
1. Read the passage.
2. Determine the most important idea of the passage.
3. Highlight important details.
4. Find keywords and use them to write the topic sentence. It is also a good idea to answer some
questions in order to complete the idea:
“Who did what, where, and when?”
“What is the main idea of the text?”
“What are the supporting points?”

FIRST, if we don´t to stop the over consumption of natural resources like: water, trees, gas, oil, it
increases air pollution.
NEXT, we must awareness about the terrible consequences when natural resources are used
without Responsability. Scientists recognize about the terrible effects if people don´t take care the
use of them.
THEM, we need to be friendly with natural resources and use them appropriately if we have a good
quality of life.
FINALLY, Natural resources should be saved because humans, animals and plants need them to
survive. It is important to mention that all people from their homes urgently must contribute with the
protection of our planet, for that reason they can start now if they want to safe the earth.

My Project
Title: Laika
Main Idea: I have learned that During the era of the space race between the USA and USSR, the
Soviet Union launched the first living thing into space. It was a dog named Laika.
First: The Objective
ofthetripwasto prove thatspace
travelfor humans was safe.
Next: Laika was a street dog that
became an astronaut because of
her size and calmness.
Them: in 1993, some Russian
space program scientists revealed
that Laika died soon after leaving
the planet’s atmosphere because
of stress and overheating.
Finally: her story has spread around the world and has inspired many tales, songs, and poems.
Some of them say that Laika became a star in the sky.
