Lyrics-
1. Students will listen to the song to understand the rhythms as well as the style of singing.
2. After listening to the song, I (Rose) will teach the lyrics by rote.
a. Teacher: Let’s learn the verse!
- Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Don't say it 'cause I know I'm cute. (Ooh, baby.)
Louis down to my drawers,
LV all on my shoes. (Ooh, baby.)
I be drippin' so much sauce,
Gotta girl looking like RAGÚ. (Ooh, baby.)
Lit up like a crystal ball,
That's cool, baby, so is you.
That's how I roll.
b. Teacher: Now let’s learn the pre-chorus!
- If I'm shinin', everybody gonna shine.
I was born like this, don't even gotta try.
I'm like chardonnay, get better over time.
Heard you say I'm not the baddest, girl, you lie.

c. Teacher: Now the chorus!

- It ain't my fault that I'm out here gettin' loose,
Gotta blame it on the Goose,
Gotta blame it on my juice, baby.
- It ain't my fault that I'm out here makin' news,
I'm the pudding in the proof,
Gotta blame it on my juice.
- Ya-ya-ee, ya-ya-ee, ya-ya-ee, ya-ya-ee.
Blame it on my juice, blame it, blame it on my juice.
Ya-ya-ee, ya-ya-ee, ya-ya-ee, ya-ya-ee.
Blame it on my juice, blame it, blame it on my juice.
d. Teacher: Do you think you’re ready to put it all together now?
e. Teacher will have the students sing the verse, pre-chorus, and chorus together.

Added Percussion - Guiro & Shaker

1. Teacher will have students listen to the song again and see if they can pick out any other
instruments that are playing besides guitar, bass, and drum-set.
2. Teacher will then have volunteers come up and play the guiro and shaker.

Assessment: Once all instruments are taught, students will choose an instrument that they will
play and perform the song together including the verse, pre-chorus, and chorus.
