1. What question or questions are the authors asking?

The question that author asked is “How gadgets affect the academic performance
of a student?”

2.What is the hypothesis that the authors propose?

The author has explained the pros and cons of using technology, s/he support
his/her statement by using other resources or studies from other authors. S/he
concluded in the hypothesis that the effects of gadget that can affect the students’
academic performance only vary or depends on how they use it.

3.What answers do the authors propose?

The author answers the question through stating the positive and negative effects of
technology that affects the academic performance of a student. The author provides
factual information through stating other’s study or survey about the question to add
information rather than basing in his/her own idea and opinion.

4.What limitations do the authors identify in their study?

The author focused on the effects of the technology and gadgets that can affect the
academic performance of a student on both sides. S/he open up that the effect of it
depends on how a person use it.

5.What suggestions do the authors have to follow-up research that should be


done?

The author must have identified the age range of the student that uses gadgets since
the effect is not completely the same in all age range or grade level of a student.
