Socialization
1. What agent of socialization affects the individual the most? Explain your answer.
Personally, the family affects the individual the most as an agent of socialization. This agent
is the individual’s first teachers of culture, beliefs and values of society. From mothers and
fathers, siblings and as well as the grandparents, all teach a child what he or she needs to know.
For example, the parents teach their child through showing how to use the objects such as
utensils, books and clothes. Also, on how to communicate in a good way with others such as
friends, other members of the family and still others as strangers or even neighbors. The family
also helps us to distinguish the good and the bad when we are committing an action.
