showno signsof penetrationor uneveneaaand stamptigshallnot cause
distortion. All other types of grcmmet.s and tia.shersshall be clear of size
numbersor marksof any kind.
3.6 Worbnanshi~:.The grcssmtshellbe uniformin qualityand shallbe
freefromirregularities
or defectswhichcouldadverselyaf feetperformance,
reltibility
or durability.
4. QUALITYASSURANCEPROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for
Unless inspection.
otherwise specifiedin the

of all inspectionrequirementsas specifiedherein. Exceptas otherwise
specifiedin the contractor purchaseorder,the contractor may use his own or
any otherfacilities suitablefor the performance of the inspection
requirementsspecified herein,unlessdisapproved by the Government.The
Governmentreservesthe rightto performany of the inspections set fmth in
the specif
ication wheresuchinspections are deemednecessaryto assure
suppliesad servicesconformto prescribed requirements.
4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance.All itemsmustmeetall requirements
of sections3 and 5. The inspectionset forthin thisspecification
shall

program. The absenceof any Inspectionrequirementsin the specification
shall
not relievethe contmctorof the responsibilityof assuringthatall products
or suppliessubmitted to the Governmentforacceptancecomplywithall

authorizesubmission of Imowndefectivematerial,eitherindicated or actual,
nor doesit ccfsmittheGovernment to acceptance
