GUIDELINES TO ACCESS THE SCHEME AND SYLLABI DATA

This link contains all the schemes and syllabi of all batches. The guidelines to access the data is as
follows:

To Access the Schemes:

NOTE: The old program codes will have 5 characters. The first two alpha characters will be ‘PC’ denoting
Program Code. The last three numerics will represent the program code (for eg. PC153 denote Program
Code 153). In case the program is a ‘LEET’ program then it will be having 6 characters where the first two
alpha characters will be ‘PC’ denoting Program Code. The next three numerics will represent the
program code and the last alpha character will be ‘L’ denoting LEET (for eg. PC150L denotes Program
code 150 LEET).

The new program codes will have 7 characters. The first two alpha characters will be ‘SC’ denoting Stub
Code. The next four digits will denote ‘Faculty’, ‘Level’, ‘Type’ and ‘Department’ respectively (for eg.
SC1217 denotes Stub Code of LFTS, offering a B.Tech Program of LEET type and of Civil Department). The
last character (if applicable) will denote the higher degree of an integrated programme (for eg. SC1205D
denotes Stub Code of LFTS, offering a B.Tech Program of Regular type and of ECE Department with an
integrated programme of M.Tech).

 The ‘Scheme’ folder contains 4 folders and 1 .xls file. The xls file(i.e PROGRAMME LIST.xls)
contains the list of all programmes running in the University with their old and new Program
codes. The 4 folders contain the schemes of all the 4 faculties i.e

o LOVELY FACULTY OF APPLIED MEDICAL SCIENCES

o LOVELY FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND ARTS

o LOVELY FACULTY OF EDUCATION

o LOVELY FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES

 Each Faculty folder contains the department folders coming under that Faculty (eg. LOVELY
FACULTY OF EDUCATION  EDUCATION, PHYSICAL EDUCATION).

 Each Department folder further contains the Programs with their old and new coding (if
applicable) ( for eg. LOVELY FACULTY OF APPLIED MEDICAL SCIENCES  AYURVEDIC
PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCE  PC124 OR SC5003).

 Each Programme folder further contains the schemes for all batches of that programme (for eg.
LOVELY FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND ARTS  ARCHITECTURE  PC123 OR SC4001  P123B2008
(i.e Program 123(P123) of Batch 2008(B2008))).

To Access the Syllabus:

NOTE:- The course codes will have 7 characters. The first alpha character will be the alphabet ‘S’
denoting syllabus. The next three alpha characters will represent the department and the last three
numerics will represent the syllabus code (eg. Syllabus of CIV220 will be written as ‘SCIV220’).

 The Syllabus folder contains 5 folders. The folders are as follows:

o GENERAL COURSES (GEN CODES)

o LOVELY FACULTY OF APPLIED MEDICAL SCIENCES

o LOVELY FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND ARTS

o LOVELY FACULTY OF EDUCATION

o LOVELY FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES

Each folder is further defined below.

 GENERAL COURSES (GEN CODES):- This folder further contains 2 folders of Session 2009-10 and
Session 2010-11. Each Session folder contains term wise folders (for eg. SESSION 2010-11 will
contain 011011 [which will be read as Term 1 (represented by 01) of Session 2010-11
(represented by 1011)] & 021011 [which will be read as Term 2 (represented by 02) of Session
2010-11 (represented by 1011)]) which further contain syllabi exclusively starting with ‘GEN’
codes.

 The remaining 4 folders contain Syllabi faculty wise, i.e

o LOVELY FACULTY OF APPLIED MEDICAL SCIENCES

o LOVELY FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND ARTS

o LOVELY FACULTY OF EDUCATION

o LOVELY FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES

 Each folder of Faculty further contains folders of faculty departments (eg. LOVELY FACULTY OF
TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES  CSE/IT, CIVIL, BIOTECHNOLOGY,etc).

 Each faculty department folder further contains 4 folders. The folders are as follows:

o OTHERS – This folder contains all syllabi of that department (i.e Courses with that 3 digit
department code ) which have not been offered till now.

o SESSION 2009-10 - This folder contains all syllabi of that department (i.e Courses with
that 3 digit department code) arranged term wise (for eg. SESSION 2009-10 will contain
010910 [which will be read as Term 1 (represented by 01) of Session 2009-10
(represented by 0910)] & 020910 [which will be read as Term 2 (represented by 02) of
Session 2009-10 (represented by 0910)]) which were offered in the academic session
2009-10. This folder does not contain any foreign department syllabi (for eg. CSE-IT 
SESSION 2009-10  010910  SCSE151. This folder will not contain syllabus of any
other department (eg. MGT333))

o SESSION 2010-11 - This folder contains all syllabi of that department (i.e Courses with
that 3 digit department code) arranged term wise (for eg. SESSION 2010-11 will contain
011011 [which will be read as Term 1 (represented by 01) of Session 2010-11
(represented by 1011)] & 021011 [which will be read as Term 2 (represented by 02) of
Session 2010-11 (represented by 1011)]) which were offered in the academic session
2010-11. This folder does not contain any foreign department syllabi (for eg. PHYSICS 
SESSION 2010-11  011011  SPHY111. This folder will not contain syllabus of any
other department (eg. ENG123))

o UPTO 2008 - this folder contains all Syllabi segregated program wise upto session 2008
only. The program wise syllabi further contain batch wise folders offered under that
program code. In this folder all syllabi offered under that program (i.e syllabi of own
department as well as foreign departments) are available (for eg. MANAGEMENT 
UPTO 2008  PC196  2007  SECO511, HUM501, MGT520).
