4.EXAMINATION OF THE EFFICACY OF OZONE SOLUTION DISINFECTANT IN IN ACTIVATING SARS VIRUS

Ozone solution disinfectant at different concentrations was tested for inactivation of Severe Acute
Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus. The results showed that the high concentration of 27.73 mg/ L ozone
could inactivate SARS virus in 4 min. The medium (17.82 mg/ L )and low (4.86 mg/ L) concentrations
could also inactivate SARS virus with different speeds and efficacy.

5.EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF OZONE WATER AEROSTERILIZER BY SIMULATED FIELD EXPERIMENT

Objective To study the sterile effect of new ozone water aerosterilizer.Methods A simulated field
experiment was conducted according to the method of disinfection technology specification.Results The
results indicated that when we used aerosterilizer for 15 minutes,the average killing ratio of Escherichia
coli,Bacillus subtilis var.niger and Saccharomyces was 94.90%,99.10% and 99.66% respectively.When we
used aerosterilizer for 30 minutes,the average killing ratio was 97.60%,99.84% and 99.98% in
turn.Conclusion So this new type aerosterilizer can play a good sterile role to yeast fungus,bacterial
spore and enterobacteria.

6.Observations on Disinfection Effects of Multifunctional Ozone Water Disinfection Machine

Objectives To observe ozone water's degradation effects to pesticides,disinfection effects to bacteria and
fungi on fruits,vegetables as well as hands.Methods Observations in laboratories was going on according
to the requirements by "Technical Standard For Disinfection "(2002).Results The ozone concentration in
water is 0.280,0.616,0.796 and 1.15 mg/L after powered on 10,20,30 and 40 min respectively;the
removal rates of ozone water to dimethoate,dichlorvos,malathion are 90.0%,93.0%,and 99.0%
respectively after powered on 20 min;the average killing log values are ≥ 3.00 when 0.3 mg/L ozone
water react with E.coli for 4 mins,Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans for 8 mins respectively;the
average killing log value is 3.00 when 0.3 mg/L ozone water react with E.coli for 12 mins on cucumber
surfaces;the average killing log value to natural bacteria on hands is 1.58 after wiping hands for 3 mins
with 0.3 mg/L ozone water.Conclusions The multifunctional ozone water disinfection machine has good
degradation effects to pesticide,disinfecting effects to Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli,,Candida
albicans,and those on the surface of fruits,vegetables and skin.It is suitable for households and medical
institutions as to disinfection treatment.
