Suggestions for increasing job satisfaction


EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In any organization employees spend most of their hours at work. In addition


working on assigned tasks they typically interact with other persons like
supervisors, fellow employees etc., and they more exposed to organizational
policies and practices. All these in turn, influence employee’s feelings about
their job. Thus these feelings are often termed as “job satisfaction”.

Being a public and service sector organization, in Sandhar Technologies


Limited, there are a lot of manpower issues that are to be addressed at
different levels.

As the fundamental quality say; unless you can measure, you can’t improve,
so requirement of understanding the satisfaction level of employees at Sandhar
Technologies Limited is necessary.

Therefore a sample size of 100 respondents was considered who were


considered to be representative out of the total population of 560 for the study.
In this study research methodology applicable is Descriptive Research.

With this as the background this study outlines a framework to initiate, to


find the satisfaction level of the employees and determine by what dimensions
the employees would likely be more and more satisfied so that they can give
their maximum potential and dedication towards the organizational
performance.
This study is not only directed with an effort to measure the level of
satisfaction but also can form the supportive basis on which further research
study can be carried on, explored in to the organization.

With this basic understanding of the study the following findings were
made;

 Majority of the respondents are satisfied with the factors of


compensation, welfare facility and the image of Sandhar Technologies
Limited, Bangalore.

 There is still a serious concern regarding the recognition, working


conditions, promotions and relations at Sandhar Technologies Limited,
Bangalore.

With these findings and conclusion is drawn that most of the employees are
satisfied in the organization. About 80% of the respondents are very proud to
be recognized and called as a member of Sandhar Technologies Limited.
