Lesson Plan for Feb 5, 2020

The class has been working on the theme of Canadian Laws we looked at the Charter of Rights and Rules
around Driving in Ontario and how to protect against Fraud, Scams, and Phishing.

The class has come up with information on how to prevent from being defrauded or scammed. We have
discussed by reading the information from the https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-
citizenship/services/protect-fraud/internet-email-telephone.html, done written quiz, watched videos on
Youtube about Phishing and Romance scams. We have also used Kahoot.com and kahoot.it to review
the information learned overall. The new teacher may continue with assessments on the topic for
speaking and reading to be placed in their binders, if they want. Or, the may start a new topic about
law, probably employment law for example, then assess on the topic.

The students know what they are interested in as it is set out on the needs assessment for the class.
