2. On a flight of British Airways flying from USA to Amsterdam a passenger who was a US
citizen was trying to enter into the cockpit with a fire arm. The passengers and crews
managed to stop him. Later on he was being kept separate and detained. He was
disembarked in Paris which was the next airport. The airport authority of Paris handed
him over to the law and enforcing agency. They kept him in custody for 3 months
without taking any action. After 3 months USA found their citizen was held in captivity
and demanded release of the citizen. France plead there is no extradition treaty between
France and USA.
3. (a) A passenger while travelling in an international flight found that his luggage is
damaged. Advise him how he can claim the damage.
(b) A cargo was carried by an airlines and found that because of the faulty packaging of
the goods the entire area became damp as a result other goods of the carrier were
damaged. Advise carrier if there is any remedy against the owner of the goods.
4. Propose a draft legislation to establish an effective Civil Aviation Authority for SAARC
nations in the light of International Civil Aviation Authority.
