transportation location time

AT - specific location 915a.m(hour+min.)


ON bus,train,plane an area Monday,Tuesday
boat*bicycle* Christmas Day
IN car,taxi inside something Weeks,months,years
BY car,plane,taxi =close/near End time
AT- ,,Meet me at my house.”

-specific time

ON-is used for large vehicles,ways of travelling(on the train,on the bus etc.)

*boat-if the boat is small enough,we say ,,IN A BOAT”

-if the boat is big,we have to say ,,ON A BOAT”

*bicycle-,,on a bicycle”(it doesn’t have an engine)

-you can see it ,,The book is on the table”

-it is not one specific time ;words ,,-day”: ON BIRTHDAY/ON THE HOLIDAY

IN-taxi(you paid the driver and you keep the car,as long as you pay the money)

-you can’t see it,,The book is in the bag”

-long time:In 1992,I came to Canada./In September I will buy a hat.

BY-means ,,How did you get there”?

-close/near-The book is by the red marker(similar meaning)

-the end of a specific time:I need it done by tonight.
