2.1.2. Family Forms
Ny family form. S according to Harmoko (2012) is the nuclear family, namely
members of the nuclear family consisting of father, mother and child who live in one
house determined by legal sanctions in a marriage bond where one / both of them can
work outside the home. The nuclear family consists of Mr. W as the head of the
family, Mrs. S as wife, Ms. S as the 1st child and An. A as the 2nd child.

2.1.3 Stages of the Family Cycle


According to the stages and cycles of growth and development toFamily cited
from Duvall (1998), the stages of the patient's family cycle include the sixth stage,
families with adult children (families launching young adults). This stage begins one
by one the children leave the family. Starting with the oldest child who sometimes
lives in a boarding house and the last child who is currently attending boarding school.

2.1.4 Functions of the Family


Family function is a measure of how a family operates as a unit and how its
members interact with one another. According to WHO consists of (Ratnasari, 2010):

1. Biological
Mrs. S lives with his core family. Mrs. S consists of her husband and two
children. Mrs. S feels that her husband's income is sufficient for her daily food
needs and has been able to fulfill her balanced nutrition. Mrs. S daily does
housework, sometimes sports interspersed and rarely travels unless there is a need or
on holidays.
2. Psychological
Communication between Mrs. S good. Mrs. S also paid enough attention to
Mrs. S. However, Mrs. S often keeps her thoughts and problems to herself for fear
of burdening her husband's mind. Mrs.S thinks her husband is tired enough of
working all day at the office.
3. Social
The neighborhood where Mrs. S is an environment that is not densely
populated. The environment around the patient's house is quite clean and safe. The
patient's relationship with the neighboring environment is well established.
4. Economy
The main source of income came from Mrs. S, namely Mr. W who works as
an entrepreneur. Mr. W of ± Rp. 25,000,000.00 / month. Income is deemed
sufficient to meet daily needs as well as for the patient's health costs.

Mrs. S is a graduate of Bachelor of Animal Husbandry (S1).
6. Culture
Some residents who live in the vicinity of Mrs. S comes from the Javanese tribe.
But there are also those who come from the Betawi, Sundanese and Minang tribes.
Mrs. S has been living and socializing well with her neighbors.
7. Spiritual Functions
Mrs. S and his family embraced Islam. Mr. W always went to the mosque
inside the housing to offer the five daily prayers when he was at home. Mrs. S also
regularly participates in recitation every week or recites the recitation by himself at
his house after dawn and maghrib prayers.
