Question 1: With a portfolio as diverse as Google’s, what are the company’s core brand
values?
Answer: Google has diversified itself from being a search engine when it started in late 1990’s
to wide range of products and services. They are classified into five categories: desktop
products, mobile products, web products, hardware products, and other products. The company
has listed its 10 core values on their website and they say they revisit them often just to see if
they are still working within the realm of those core values.
The 10 values listed are:
1. Focus on the user and all else will follow.
2. It’s best to do one thing really, really well.
3. Fast is better than slow.
4. Democracy on the web works.
5. You don’t need to be at your desk to need an answer.
6. You can make money without doing evil.
7. There’s always more information out there.
8. The need for information crosses all borders.
9. Relevancy of results.
10. Cost of executing a search query.

Question 2: What’s next for Google? Is the company right to put so much focus on mobile?
Answer: Google is not only a search engine anymore. It has gained popularity from many
facilities this company has provided. After becoming such a strong brand, they launched their
mobiles that are found to be competitive for other companies. It became head to head with
iPhone. It is maintaining its position in market by providing competition to its competitors.
Therefore, I think the company is right to put so much focus on mobile.
