 PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION REPORT

We went to the main square to interview some tourists about the traffic in their countries. We
found a gentle lady who shared her opinion about public transportation in her city with us. Her
name is Sarah Mottiez , she is 23 years old and she is from Switzerland. She is volunteering
here and she will stay in Arequipa until September 5.

When we talked with her about the public transportation she told us that in her city there are
4 types of transportation that are buses, taxis, trains and own cars. We can say that there are
more types of transportation than in Arequipa. She uses 3 types of public transportation to get
around that are buses, trains and taxis. When she uses the train, it is always on time. The buses
and trains are more reliable than in Arequipa is for that reason that her commute is about 20
minutes when she goes to her university . There are less traffic in her city than in Arequipa so
she told us that she could not change anything because everything is fine but sometimes she
feels stressed or angry in rush hours. The trains in her city are faster than the train that she
took in Lima.

In conclusión, we can say that the system of transportation in her city is better and more
efficient than in Arequipa. In her city she doesn’t spend a lot of time waiting because there are
less traffic than in Arequipa.
