Introduction

for the present phase five (5), the collection is taken as an initiative from step 1, at the
beginning of the course. to carry out an understanding of the matter, even from its
beginning to the end.

The questions asked of medium-sized enterprises for digital transformation are consolidated
in an excel file.

it is considered for this phase five: the problem, the justification and the methodology, with
this an analysis of the data is made.

Finally, based on data analysis, we made a proposal to address the problem in Colombia for
medium-sized companies in the digital transformation process.

based on the conclusions, we visualized what the course was during this semester; in favor
of our professional training.

Problem How to promote digital transformation in Colombian enterprises?
question
Problem Technological risk stems from the continued increase in technology
description tools and applications that do not have adequate safety management.
His foray into organizations because the technology is being end and
means of attack due to existing vulnerabilities inappropriate
protection measures and its constantly changing factors that make it
increasingly difficult to keep these updated security measures. In
addition to intentional attacks, it is the misuse of technology, which
often is the major cause of the vulnerabilities and risks that
organizations are exposed. Technology can be viewed from three
aspects, first at the level of technological infrastructure (hardware or
physical level), secondly, a logical (associated with software risks,
information systems and information) level and finally the risks of
misuse the above factors, which corresponds to human factor as a
third level. If the definitions of goals, objectives, vision and mission
organizations are reviewed, you are not based on technical or
relating to technology terms. However, when analyzing deep and
thorough management approaches such form is that its application
brings basic performance of a technological infrastructure to give to
achieving these qualities. Therefore, the corresponding compliance
with the provision of services and development of products offered
by the company, maintaining operational activity and even business
continuity, dependent care and conservation that have the
technological base and of course, opera staff.

Problem of How to promote digital transformation in Colombian
study enterprises?
Global Despite the relentless pace of disruption in the business
situation environment, the latest edition of the Digital Transformation
Index report by Dell Technologies shows how many of the
digital transformation projects of many of the world's
organizations are still in an initial state. Not surprisingly, 78% of
managers surveyed think that the digital transformation
processes in which they are immersed should be extended more
widely by more departments of their companies (85% in Spain).
More than half of the companies worldwide (51%) believe that
in a period of five years they may have difficulties to meet the
changing demands of their customers (92% in the case of Spain),
and almost a third of the respondents (30%) fear that their
organization will be left behind (53% in Spain).
National In Colombia, very few companies are transforming digitally,
situation although we are delayed in this process, I think we are moving
forward little by little. When a company makes a technological
surveillance of its competitors, it begins to "copy" the good
things. This is one of the ways that companies will be
transformed digitally. Several managers think that if the
company has worked well this way during its existence then they
will continue doing so and they do not want to invest in
technology because they want to save costs. But then they will
realize the benefits that digital transformation will bring.
Industrial Industrial engineers have a fundamental role in this
engineering transformation or revolution. First because they are
situation professionals permanently linked to innovation and change
management. But above all being professionals prepared
both to manage projects that integrate different technologies
and able to specialize in each of them: Artificial Intelligence,
Additive Manufacturing, Big Data, Cloud Computing,
Blockchain, Internet of Things, Virtual Reality, etc. Digital
transformation not only affects engineers and industries,
SMEs and professionals, but affects the whole of society. We
must be aware of the social challenges we will have to face
and the need for all kinds of professionals, from
anthropologists to marketers, in this revolution in which we
are immersed.

of study
Type To solve the current problem, I suggest exploratory research. in it we can
of mention the possibility of formulating the research problem, to extract data and
resear terms that allow us to generate the necessary questions. It also provides the
ch formulation of hypotheses on the topic to be explored, supporting the research.
is oriented according to the level of knowledge to be obtained, bearing in mind
that all types of research complement each other. It can be quantitative,
qualitative or historical.
Due to its characteristics, this type of research does not start from very detailed
theories, but rather seeks to find meaningful patterns in the data that must be
analyzed to create, from these results, the first complete explanations of what
happens.
Phases 1. Information collection: The investigations originate in ideas
of the 2. Raising the problem to investigate: Establish research objectives
metho 3. Develop the theoretical framework: is built with theories, theoretical
dology approaches.
4. To define the type of investigation with which the study begins: The
investigation must be "tailored" to the problem that has been formulated
5. Define hypotheses and / or variables: It is a tentative proposal about the
relationship between two or more variables.
6. Select research design: refers to the plan or strategy that will be used to
answer the research questions.
7. Selection of the sample: define the unit of analysis, then the population is
limited and then the sample is selected.
8. Data collection: develop a measurement instrument that is valid and
reliable.
9. Analysis and interpretation of data: Associations and correlations
between two variables.
10. The final presentation of results: Results as the most important elements
of the process must be communicated through a report or report.

Industrial Engineering Conclusions

Student Conclusion
I think that for industrial engineers, technological
valuation and technological negotiation are very
important. In the industry, technology becomes
decisive for the future of companies, because it helps
optimize processes, increase sales, create competitive
advantage, take decisions, and to have important
information. For that reason, it is important that the
evaluation of the technology is appropriate and to
know how profitable it is for the company both in
monetary, intellectual and innovation and social
matters. In addition, companies have licenses of their
property, create technology, create knowledge etc.
And these are an important asset for companies, so it
is important to know how to negotiate and transfer
these technologies and obtain benefits for the
company.
The great role of industrial engineers, within a
productive process is to create information systems, to
use them as a basis to build a series of steps to achieve
the objectives based on the formulation of strategies
that allow a correct decision-making that takes the
productive process by the most efficient way.
the evaluation and negotiation of technology, an
industrial engineer can use it as a key element for the
creation and sustainment of the production chain for
which he is responsible. Based on this, strategic
objectives can be achieved that generate a competitive
advantage for the same company where it is
implemented and thus create a sustainable
development from the rest of the company's processes.
This allows to create in the industry a greater
importance of people capable of interpreting and
appropriating technologies as tools to achieve strategic
objectives.
The industrial engineer can adapt to multiple
environments and this makes an interesting feature for
companies, in pursuit of their search to achieve goals
and objectives.
As Industrial Engineers, it is essential to analyze and
understand the concepts of technological innovation as
a key to business success. This knowledge is oriented
to the achievement of comprehensive solutions to the
problems identified, through the methodologies
established for each case and to an adequate decision-
making in the selection of the best intervention
alternatives, in projects organizational, economic and
social. This contributes to the strengthening of our
profession, to be able to design proposals for
improvement in aspects valuation and negotiation of
technology.

methods, allows to recognize market conditions for
technological innovations, developing the negotiation
of technological assets from products, processes and
system innovation, to achieve the organization's goals.
