1. Cacing ini berbentuk bulat berwarna kemerahan dan transparan.

2. Cacing jantan berukuran 26 x 1,8 mm
3. Betinanya berukuran 35 x 2,3 mm.
4. Karakteristik cacing ini adalah ditemukan bagian yang mengalami konstriksi
(penyempitan) diantara kepala dan tubuhnya
5. Pada daerah kepala terdapat bibir yang tebal dan empat buah kelenjar cervical.
6. Terdapatnya duri–duri dengan ujung bercabang yang menutupi seluruh tubuhnya
