Assignment No. 1
1. Welcome to our subject! I am very excited to begin this course with you, so to get
started, I encourage you to use this topic to introduce yourself (name, location,
something unique/interest/likes and your declaration of your short-term/long-term
plans) and get to know your classmates as well.
I also encourage you to customize your profile in MS Teams with a photo.
I, Marlou H. Abejuela is from the land of Oragons, Bicol Region. I am the unico hijo of a
carpenter and a seamstress, Mr. Larry and Mrs. Liezl Abejuela. Currently, I am staying in
Project 8, Quezon City, at my cousin’s humble abode. I am named after the basketball
player of Ginebra San Miguel, Mr. Marlou Aquino, and a funny story, I was never allowed by
my parents to play the same sports. I do have a mole in my lips, that is very noticeable in my
physical appearance. I am fond of watching anime, movies (especially, horror & thriller
genre), and series. I also love reading novel books, and my favorite author is Dan Brown,
who wrote ‘The Vinci Code’. I also do love music, specifically the oldies songs regardless if it
is OPM or foreign. I do photo editing, designs and even video editing. My favorite colors are
blue and green which signifies to be the color of authoritative and balance character.
Currently, me and my high school friends (which I consider, my brothers and sisters) are
running a non-government organization called the ‘Project Wings Ph’ which aims to provide
our fellow Bulaneños, who is having a hard time because of the pandemic, with their
essential need even in small amount. And in relation to this, I want to declare not just to
myself and family, but to the country, that I will exert effort in my class, pass all my subjects
and graduate on time. In long term plans, I want to continue and expand our charity work
nationwide, become a CPA-Lawyer, and have a stable job in an environment I am
comfortable working on.
2. What are your expectations, comments, or reaction regarding this course, your
professor, this semester, including self-expectation in general?
For this course, I guess I should not expect the best nor the worst but to help me in my
deep understanding in this field of accounting and business. To my professor, I do
expect that he will not be so intimidating, for we the students get the impression that
we’ll be judged once we make some queries or clarifications either during class or
beyond class hours. For this semester, I expect that everyone will have a hard time,
especially because of the sudden changes in the mode of learning and the current
situation, but I trust the process of God that things will get back to normal, soon. And as
for my self-expectation, I will have hard time, learning in e-books because I am a
bibliophile, but I hope, I can make things work.
