1.0 Introduction

The growing recognition of information as a valuable and value-creating resource has made

information to be widely regarded as organizational resource that must be managed like other

resources effectively in order to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Information technology

(IT) has been the most important vehicle available for the management of information and since

1960s IT has been successfully used as an information resource management tool.

Unfortunately, it is observed that some organization in Nigeria are still struggling to use

inappropriate software application to manage daily healthcare services but little attempt have been

made to develop custom made hospital management system that could adequately, effectively and

efficiently manage hospital, clinic and laboratory information resources.

Health Institution have the statutory functions of managing and keeping details information of

patient’s record for posterity, but yet no stable deployment of a full functional system that could

meet this demands.

Majority of the general public that require inquiries or services from the health care service provider,

irrespective of geographical location have been unable to get these services due to poor system in

place. It is on this note that this proposal is prepared to develop a full functional hospital

management system to hospitals in order to have a reliable hospital management system in place that

could ease daily healthcare services.

b. Technical: Training of personnel on the technical

aspect of the software which involve tools behind the
development and the entire structural architecture of 1 (Head) Call
the software, especially the database tools, to enable
the personnel offer first aid troubleshooting. (1 weeks)

**Item 2: The Software can be installed normally for stand-alone usage; this can be done by anyone
via the installation wizard. For Server- client (Wi-Fi) network usage (one-to-many PC installations);
an advance installation is required and we shall require an existing network infrastructure and a
dedicated PC as the host server. Therefore this attracts charges for setting up a centralized server
with each clients PC.

*Item 3a: Operational training shall be conducted to only 2 personnel free of charge additional
person shall attract extra charges per head.
