INTRODUCTION
 Hospital Management System is a project which aims in developing a computerized
system to maintain all the information of Hospital entities.
 It has a facility of admin login through which the admin can monitor the whole system.
 Admin modules are managing patients, manage doctors, and manage appointments.
 Patient modules are storing patient details securely and efficiently and updating it
accordingly and also to maintain the records of diagnosis and their symptoms.
 Doctor modules are view patients details or add and update them, write prescriptions, add
diagnosis and their symptom details.
 Overall this project of ours is being developed to help the hospital administration, maintain
the hospital management in the best way possible and also reduce the human efforts.
OBJECTIVE

 The main objective of this project is to manage the records of Patients,

Doctors, Other staff and medical equipments.
 Reduce the paper work and provide the 24*7 accessible website with
user-friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface) to manage the records
 Our objective is by using this website Doctor can search and view patient
details by just entering the Patient Id and view their history.
 This project is useful for hospital administration to maintain records of
their staff efficiently and access it whenever required easily.
EXISTING SYSTEM

 Hospitals currently use a manual system for the management and

maintenance of critical information. The current system requires
numerous paper forms, with data stores spread throughout the hospital
management infrastructure.
 Often information (on form) is incomplete, or does not follow
management standards.
EXISTING SYSTEM

 Forms are often lost in transit between departments requiring a

comprehensive auditing process to ensure that no vital information is lost.
 Multiple copies of the same information exist in the hospital and may lead
in inconsistencies in data in various data stores.
PROPOSED SYSTEM

 The Hospital Management System (HMS) is designed for Any Hospital to

replace their existing manual, paper based system. The new system is to
control the following information; patient information, room availability,
staff and operating room schedules, and patient invoices.
 These services are to be provided in an efficient, cost effective manner, with
the goal of reducing the time and resources currently required for such
tasks.
PROPOSED SYSTEM

 The Online/Intelligent Hospital Management system is available

in the market that can ease the work of Hospital Administrators.
It use a network of computers to collect, retrieve and process
patient care and administrative information from various
departments of hospital to satisfy the functional requirement

CONCLUSION

The system is designed in such a way that fare modification can be done easily. The
following conclusion can be deduced from the development of the project.

 Automation of the entire system improves the efficiency.

 It provides a friendly graphical user interface which proves to be better when
compared to the existing system.
 It gives appropriate access to the authorized users depending on their permissions.
 It effectively overcomes the delay in communications.
 Updating of information becomes so easier.
 System security, data security and reliability are the striking features.
 The System has adequate scope for modification in future if it is necessary.
