FARSAN SAPUTRA, “Phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity test

ethyl acetate extract of kaobula leaf (Pisonia alba Span.)” ( guided by Dra Hj
Arniah Dali, M.Si and Drs Haeruddin, M.Si).
Phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity test acetate extract of kaobula
leaf has been done. This study aims to determine the secondary metabolite
compounds and antioxidant activity from ethyl acetate extract of kaobula leaf
(Pisonia alba Span.). As much as 200 grams of kaobula leaf macerated with ethyl
acetate for 24 hours for 3 times. The submerged extract obtained 34,5 grams. The
extract screening by phytochemycals. The results showed that the ethyl acetate
extract of kaobula leaf (Pisonia alba Span.) contained secondary metabolit
compounds alkaloids, flavonoids, and steroid.While the results of antioxidant
activity test showed that the ethyl acetate extract of kaobula leaf (Pisonia alba
Span.) has antioxidant activity with IC is 97,411 ppm.
