1. Three (3) Things that I significantly learned from the readings

One of the things that I learned from the readings is that our country can grow
successfully. Another thing that I learned from the readings is that literature should
not be forgotten. Finally, the last thing that I learned from the readings is that Rizal
was more than a writer and a nationalistic hero.

2. Three (3) Things that are still unclear to me

The three things that were unclear to me is that the conflict between the church and
the government, how approving the original bill sponsored by Laurel and lastly,
how a literary piece of Filipino people would lessen the freedom of religion.

3. I used to think that….

Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo are required to study, both in public and in
private schools here in the Philippines.

4. Three (3) questions that I want to ask about the readings

1. How is Jose Rizal related to religion?
2. What were the struggles that Rizal went through to publish El Filibusterismo?
3. How do foreigners see Jose Rizal?
