PRINCIPLES OF FINANCIAL PROSPERITY

There are time proven principles which God supplies his children with money and riches
consistently. Remember Jesus became poor materially that we through His poverty might
become rich materially. (2cor.8:9).

AIMS OF THIS COURSE:


 To deal with misconceptions about money.
 To study about the characteristics of worldly wealth and riches.
 To know the reality of heavenly supplies.
 To know how to handle finances.

MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT MONEY:


 It is the root cause of all evil: 1 timothy 6:9-10
 The wealthy don’t go to heaven: Luke 13:28;mark 10:22-23
 Money belongs to the devil: Mathew 4:8,haggai 2:8,proverbs 24:1
 Money corrupts the church: acts4:32; 3john2; psalms 112:3.
 Money brings persecutions mark 10:28-30.

CHARACTERISTICS OF WORLDLY RICHES:


 Pride i.e. seeing your wealth as gotten by your hands and efforts- Deuteronomy 8:18;
11:16; proverbs 16:18; 29:23.
 Insecurity; the wealthy are not sure of their life, they run from place to place; psalms
89:6; 73:18-19.
 Temporality; they stay for a while not forever; Jeremiah 17:11; proverbs 23:5; 27:24.
 Sorrowful; worldly riches cause sorrow, they don’t satisfy. Mathew 6:19-20.

GOD’S ORIGINAL PLAN:


 When God created Adam and Eve, He blessed them. The blessing of the lord makes RICH
(proverbs 10:22). Poverty is evidence that man lost his fellowship with God.
 The first thing they saw by the river was gold; genesis 2:10-12.
 All men and women God used, He also gave them enormous wealth; genesis 13:1-3;
26:12; exodus 12:35-36; acts 2:44; 4:33-34.
 Money is a defense and answers all things: Eccl. 7:12; 10:19.
 The rich rule the poor; proverbs 22:7.
 God’s heart grieves for the poor: job 30:25.
 Poor people are hated even by their neighbors; proverbs 14:20.
 Poor man’s wisdom is dispersed; Eccl. 9:14:20.
 Jesus became poor that we may be rich.2 cor.8:9.

THE REALITY OF HEAVENLY RICHES;


 God has treasures in heaven; Philippians 4:19; john 6:5-6; 2 kings 4:1.
 God is the blesser of all; genesis 24:34;26:12
 God is the feeder of all exodus; 16:4;2 kings 7:1ffg
 God can use anything to supply our needs; Mathew 17:24-27
 God has hidden treasures upon the earth; Isaiah 45:1-3.
 God has all the riches of the earth; hag 2:8; psalms 23:1ffg.

HOW TO RECEIVE God’s wealth;


1) Become part of God and His covenants; genesis 12:1-3; gal. 3:13-14(Abraham’s covenant and
blessings)
2) Sowing; genesis 8:22;26:12-14;2cor.9:6
3) Obedience or NT faith Deuteronomy 8:18; Isaiah 1:19; Eccl 2:26.
4) Diligence; proverbs 10:4; 12:27.
5) Tithing and offerings; Malachi 3:10; proverbs 3:9; Hebrews 8:3.

HIDDEN COVENANTS;
1) Home supplies; 1 timothy 5:8; 1peter 3:7.
2) Parents; Ephesians 6:1-2;genesis 45:9-11
3) Employees; James 5:4; lev 19:13; mal.3:5; Deuteronomy 24:15.
4) Alms: job 29:12;deutronomy 15:11;proverbs 14:21
