Essay of the movie ¨The shape of the voice¨ according to all topics of
module 1.

The cultural inheritance is any pattern of behavior is influenced by cultural

inheritance customs, habits, and views of the world that are practiced by their
predecessors.

It is uncertain to demonstrate whether natural selection or inheritance can justify

the evolution of culture in some regions; however, it is implied that biological
constraints on culture are strong enough that social scientists tend to ignore
cultural transmission.

By all this said, it is certain that the environment that we are involved in, and the
genes of our ancestors. Every each of us can say that we live the life that we
want to, it means that it’s in us the decisions and the ability to do the things we
want knowing the possible consequences.

Naoko Yamada's anime demonstrates the effects of school bullying on both the
bullied and the bullies.

Bullying is a problem that transcends culture. Although the individual

characteristics and dynamics that underlie social value and power may vary
across cultures and countries, the abuse of power to distress or control another
person is consistently observed.

All this impacts in the global culture, because nowadays compassion means
that you are weak, while hostility and jufgment is being glorified, as it would be
the new fashion, you look everywhere and bad habits, bad decisions, and evil
are on top, you see people changing in front of you because what they see and
what they think it’s a new hit.

Now we all humans got different social interests and families are disintegrating
themselves because love and happiness are too difficult for those people to
digest. Parents don’t teach the right education for the kids, parents sometimes
didn’t even care, these kids raise with critical issues in their mind and are more
probable to take the wrong decisions, and it’s a cycle that goes on and on.

In a few scenes, the film traces how social-degeneration doesn’t happen

overnight, but begins with the victim’s ‘difference’ which triggers minor irritation,
impatience and eventually intolerance.

The film culminates in a riveting turning point when Shoya realizes that
whatever goes around comes around. In this moment you can see the impact of
the bullying where it affects not only the victim but the bully.

The protagonist change schools and wins the loyalty of a bullied boy who helps
him reconnect with Shoko and the papers of bully changes.

All this bully stuff usually starts with the judgment, the use generalizations and
stereotypes. So, we have to think twice what we want to say and act, and that
we don’t know the background that person is going tough.

Cultural Awareness is the foundation of communication and it involves the

ability of standing back from ourselves and becoming aware of our cultural
values, beliefs and perceptions, but also of the others.
