“Diary of a Wimpy Kid – The Ugly Truth”

Written by: Jeff Kinney

There is a boy named Greg Heffley. Greg is a 12 years old boy who is always been in a
hurry to grow up. One day, when Greg and his bestfriend, Rowley Jefferson, had a big fight
when they are playing on their way home because Rowley is tired and want to rest for a minute
but Greg keep telling Rowley that it’s only three more blocks to go.
Since then, Rowley and Greg didn’t bother each other anymore. Two weeks have been past
but Rowley still didn’t show up to Greg, so Greg had an idea. He thinks that he can replace his
ex-bestfriend so he tried hanging out with his two classmates, Christopher Brownfield and Tyson
Sanders. He hung out with Christopher and Tyson but they seems weird because they are both
doing weird things that seems not right to do in public nor private places.
Days, weeks, and months have been past and Greg suddenly find himself dealing with the
pressures of responsibilities, the-so-called boy-girl parties, and even the changes on our body
when we are getting older. He struggle by himself without Rowley, his ex-bestfriend.
Before the school year end, he decided to make things up with his bestfriend Rowley
Jefferson because he learn that it’s really boring and sad without his bestfriend by his side. Greg
admit to himself that he can’t see Rowley happy with other people, he even think that he can’t
think or decide what is right when his bestfriend Rowley is not around. At the end of the story, it
is always good to make things up with your loved ones when you had a big fight with them.
