Lesson 2: Asking for and giving information about country of origin and
nationalities.
Asking about country of origin:
Where are you from (originally)? / Where do you come from?
Asking about nationality:
What nationality are you? / What’s (is) your nationality?
Lead in:
Practice previous class content.
Are there foreign visitors in your country?
Where are they from?
Exercise #1:
Work in pairs and name two or more countries you already know of each region.
Exercise #2 (Roll play)
Read the following dialogue and then, try to do it in your own way.
Mark: Where are you from Laura?
Laura: Well, my whole family is in the United States now, but we are from Costa Rica

Mark: Oh, so you´re from South America.
Laura: Actually, Costa Rica isn´t in South America. It is in Central America.
Mark: Oh, right. My geography isn´t very good.
Laura: No problem.
