Project: Promotional Tools

Instruction: Students will be asked to choose at least 5 promotional tools that they think are effective and
applicable in their own enterprise or proposed enterprise on their submitted marketing plan.

1. Research and choose five (5) promotional tools(there are many to choose from) that you
think are effective and applicable to your enterprise or proposed enterprise on your
prelims output. Provide a brief description of each.
a. Advertising
- Presentation and promotion of ideas, goods, or services by an identified sponsor.
b. Sales promotion
- Media and non-media marketing communication are employed for a
predetermined, limited time to increase consumer demand, stimulate market
demand or improve product availability.
c. Public Relations
- Paid intimate stimulation of supply for a product, service, or business unit by
planting significant news about it or a favorable presentation of it in the media.
d. Direct Marketing
- Is a channel-agnostic form of advertising that allows businesses and nonprofits to
communicate straight to the customer.
e. Personal Selling
- A process of helping and persuading one or more prospects to purchase a good
or service or to act on any idea through the use of an oral presentation.

2. Tell why it is effective and how your own enterprise or proposed enterprise might adapt
and use the promotional tools.
It is effective to the proposed enterprise “David Salon” to use the promotional tools
because it makes the company popular, helps to get more customers, builds sales and profits. It
provides information to the people their target consumer to try the new product or service offered
or to get nonusers to try the existing product or service.
3. Pick your top choice among the five promotional tools and explain why you want to
prioritize on using that for your enterprise or proposed enterprise. (Not less than 10
sentences.)

The top choice among the five promotional tools to prioritize on using for the proposed
enterprise “David Salon” is Advertising. For me it should be prioritized to use as a promotional
tool especially David Salon is a leading salon industry here in the Philippines because salon
industries are competitive. Advertising helps the consumer to make decisions which service or
product should buy. Through advertising people will be aware about its products and services
offered by the company. Consumers can achieve the advertisement using various media like
television, billboards, website, radio, tarpaulin and social media accounts especially people have
an access on the internet that has become part of most businesses today. It can convince the
customers that the product or service of David Salon is right for their needs: haircut and hair color
style trends for both men and women. The information from the advertisement can be used to
educate the customers about new products or services, features and the prices. So that it
convinces them to try and adopt the new fashion for them to have a better style and give up their
old style. Some customers are more likely to find products or services that can fulfill their
happiness, so through advertising reminds the people that they can experience it only if they buy
or purchase what the business offers. And because of advertising the people get an idea of how
they will enjoy the relaxing ambiance, given the quality service that comes from the well trained
team of David Salon. That is why the people will surely attract and will buy the service they
offered because of what they see through advertisements.
