ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Firstly we would like to thank to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dhaka University
of Engineering & Technology, Gazipur for arranging an one day industrial visit on Noman Terry
Towel Mills Ltd. to enhancing the knowledge of mechanical engineering. This was very helpful
for us to understand real life application of mechanical engineering knowledge in the field of
Textile industries.

We would also like to thank to NTTML to visit us production of Terry Towel through proper
guidance with real mechanical equipment. That’s why we are now be treated as a
professional/expert mechanical engineer.

Finally, we must express our honorable teachers for providing us with unfailing support and
continuous encouragement throughout our visiting and through the manufacturing process of
Terry Towel and writing this report. This accomplished would not have been possible without
them.

ABSTRACT

Noman Terry Towel Mills Ltd. Is the largest Terry Towel manufacturer in Bangladesh. It uses
cotton as raw material to produce various types of towel. First of all Yarn beam has been made
by using warping machine. Then the warp beam goes through sizing machine for protect from
abrasion and improving the breaking strength of yarn. After sizing beam storing, weaving, gray
inspection process has been done. For change the color of Terry Towel it goes through the
Dyeing section and change color by using Fabric dyeing machine. Then dry the Towel loop by
using Loop Dryer machine. After completing this the Towel is cutting at desired shape and then
sewing and tagging process has been done carefully. After completing all the process the towel
goes for checking its quality or any kind of default and then all the satisfying product goes for
packing at packing section.
