METALS AND SURFACE TREATMENTS
CABLE TRAYS ARE MAINLY EXPOSED TO ATMOSPHERIC CORROSION. THE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THE CABLE TRAYS
ARE INSTALLED IS THEREFORE THE MAIN CRITERIA IN THE CHOICE OF SURFACE TREATMENT, OR TYPE OF STEEL.

with the RoHS Directive. Offering protection equivalent to GC,
it is used for small accessories and fixings which are difficult

Resin - based paint is applied to the cable tray using an

electrostatic powder and then cured in an oven. The entire
range of RAL colours can be obtained. Mainly used for
aesthetic reasons and to help identify cable routes, it offeres
very good corrosion resistance.

POSITIONING OF THE COUPLERS

To get the best performance from tray, choosing the right couplers is just as impor-
tant as their positioning. CABLOFIL couplers have been designed and tested to pro-
vide high levels of mechanical and electrical performance. To maximise performance,
follow the recommendations below:

GENERAL SCENARIO APPLICABLE TO ALL SPANS

for best results, place the couplers if the coupling is at L/2, a coefficient under coupler.

: 25% SAVINGS WITH THE P2000 (SPAN OF 2M AT FULL CAPACITY)
By opting for CABLOFIL’s 2 m span, up to 25% on material and labor can be saved compared to the conventional 1.5m span.
To obtain this result, the first span is deliberately limited to 1.5 meters, then the supports are placed every 2 meteres.
The couplers are therefore always 0.5m from a support which is close to the optimum performance of 0.4 m.

The configuration, coupled with the quality

and penetration of the welding of the wires,
guarantees a span of 2 meters for the
leading range of CABLOFIL
(CF54 of 50 mm to 500 mm wide).
