Proposed Title Web-Based Mortuary Management System

The proposed system is to implement a Web-Based Mortuary

Management System which will have different user interfaces, specifically
for the employees, and to the clients. On the employees’ side, the system will
serve as the regulatory system in preserving deceased bodies for funeral
services and for keeping and storing of deceased bodies until the beneficiary
claims it. Tag numbers will also be assigned to specific deceased bodies for
Area of identification purposes. In addition, the proposed system will also include an
Investigation inventory system, that will serve as a principal repository for stock items and
enables the employees to track, monitor, and manage the equipment that are
included in the business process. The system also features generating and
processing of bills, and systemized issuing and printing of death certificate
for the deceased body. On the customers’ side, the system will also be used
to promote the company’s services to the clients to maintain and increase the
rate of earnings despite the number of competitors. The proponents will
make a cross platform system that will enable the clients to access the
website in different devices.

The researcher will create, program, and develop the proposed system
using PHP and MySQL

The proposed system will benefit Veronica Memorial Chapel. The

Target proposed system will make the management processes of the clients more
Users/Beneficiary convenient and also maintain and increase the number of clients by having an
informative web-interface that can be accessed by clients.

The proposed system had similarities with the Autoscribe Informatics’

Matrix Tracker, part of the Matrix suite of LIMS, which provides the
improved traceability and accountability needed to meet the current mortuary
regulatory requirements including CPA (Clinical Pathology Accreditation).
Similar with any Matrix Tracker is a configurable, expandable tracking system which
Previous simplifies management tasks by tracking each item, positively identifying the
Study/Project current item location, owner and chain of custody. In the mortuary application
Matrix Tracker is used to accurately record fridge occupancy and track
location of the bodies minimizing the possibility of a body being misidentified
or misplaced. It is also used to ensure fridges are used efficiently, ensuring
they are moved on as quickly as possible and that each body is sent to the
correct location when they leave the mortuary.
The proponents came up with an idea of innovating a mortuary
management system, which includes the accessibility thru web browsers,
issuance and printing of death certificates, database record system of clients
and the dead bodies, inventory system of the stock items being used in funeral
services. The features will greatly improve the functionality of the previous
project which only record fridge occupancy and track location of the bodies
minimizing the possibility of a body being misidentified or misplaced.
