LESSON OBJECTIVE: At the end of this lesson students will be able to:-

 Define the term self-reliance.


 Describe about the terms dependency and dependability.
 List examples of dependency and dependability.
SELF-RELIANCE
 Is the ability to support and take care of yourself.
 It is also the ability to make decisions independently. It means to be free from the influence and control of others
because as human being sometimes we need support from others. E.g.:- as a student you have the support of you
 Dependency:-Is a bad habit which weakens your ability to stand on your own two feet. It is unable to rely on your
answers from others during examination Dependability: it means the ability to do things by ourselves.
 Self-reliance and decision making; are closely related concepts. That means self-reliant people can make good dec
their own problems by themselves rather these people always seek external help from others.
 Self-reliant people are dependable, because they can be able to make decisions by themselves.
Decision making;-is choosing one appropriate and valuable idea from several possible ideas or alternatives.
