 Future Prospects of Bioresource Engineering in Bangladesh
Bangladesh is an agricultural based country. For energy production its
primary source is natural gases. Many researchers stated that the amount of natural
gases are decreasing day by day and it can not be used as primary energy source in
future. So, our Government are funding for researching on renewable energy
sources. Bioresource is a renewable energy source. Small communities and several
poultry farms are using biogas as alternating energy source. Wood pellets are used
as energy source in the villages. Furnitures are made from the mixture of wood chips
with binding agents. A new discovery was found in our country which is known as
“Sonali Plastic Bag”. This is an application of biofibre. So, Bangladesh is using
bioresource in several sectors. For better and more effective application of
bioresources, bioresource engineers need to be produced by the engineering
institutes of Bangladesh.
