Essentials of Athletic Movement Crash Course
COURSE OBJECTI VES
This course is designed for individuals from various backgrounds with an interest in youth fitness and/or sport coaching. The course is intended to familiarize the novice learner with basic origins, insertions, actions, and innervations of prime mover muscles in the human body. At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the following: 1. Prime movers for all primary actions in the trunk & core 2. Primary skeletal structures in the trunk & core 3. Muscle origins, insertions, actions, and innervations 4. Practical applications of above concepts
