Chapter I: Character Creation
Changing Your Stripes
Sometimes a heretic has a change of heart and finds
that another god calls their name. A character may
change their <Mark of Chaos> Keyword, but first they
must go through the fires of hell to do so. The gods are
jealous beings and do not like being betrayed. As such
the player should let the Gamemaster know that they
are wanting their character to transition from one god
to another, or to no god in particular. Then the
character should abandon the machinations of their
current god and begin to perform act of faith toward
their new one. Once this is done the character’s current
god may send out temptations to lure them back into
the fold, task agents to punish the apostate, or even
levy curses for walking away from their good graces. As
a note any Talent or ability that is directly tied to their
current god ceases to function.

Whatever the case, the harder the struggle the quicker

this entire process is completed. Once the Game Master
feels that the character has gone through the necessary
trials and has shown sufficient faith toward their new
patron, the character’s <Mark of Chaos> keyword can
change to their new god or Undedicated. All Talents
and abilities tied to their new Chaos God, or
Undedicated, either begin to function again or are
switched out for similar Talents.

Chapter II: Rituals
Summon the Red Foot Soldiers
Wielding the Unnatural
Possessing and using a daemon weapon is an act of
insanity. The daemon is constantly testing it’s bindings
and yearning to be free. Any time the character goes
Unconscious, loses all their Wounds, or rolls a
Complication when using the item without rolling any
Icons, the wielder and the Daemon must make opposing
Willpower tests. Failure mean the daemon has temporary
gained control and will likely attack the wielder or one of
the wielder’s allies (use the daemon’s stats for attack).
This last for 1d6 rounds. After such time the wielder may
roll their Willpower again, as above, to regain control. If
this test is a failure and they roll a Complication then
either the Daemon slips it’s bindings entirely or the
wielder must make a Conviction Test against the
Daemon’s Willpower rating or become possessed.
