In this connection the present scheme aims to acquire land in phases for developing tourism related facilities for the tourists which may be developed by public sector open existing 167 out of which 120 have been taken over .Opening of rest houses to general public is in line with Prime Minister Directives . It is 03 Proponent information further planned to out source these to private sector but prior to out sourcing the dilapidated or obsolete construction of these rest houses to be fine tuned to fetch better value for money and simultaneously . Uptill now 58 rest houses have been cleared for onward outsourcing to private sector but it needs to be put to useable and working conditions. It is to for facilitating the tourists and various segment of society to relax, refresh and have hand first-hand information about touristic areas. The aim is to invest in existing rest houses that are in dilapidated condition or needs strengthening to get better value in terms of money Goals & Objectives set 04 and provide appropriate facilities to tourists. These may be would be to be achieved future tourism assets besides providing recreation to men, women and children. The out sourcing of existing rest after making them up to useable and in working conditions is the aim. Rest houses opening would reduce existing expenses on them and fetch better money for government Rationale for ADP 05 assets. It is expected to help private sector . Using all existing Public Funding Sector rest houses for promoting tourism is the priority agenda of the Federal as well Provincial government, it is therefore on priority basis to make all the tourist sites accessible with staying facilities . Geographical Coverage (for whole 06 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province or specific district/ tehsil) 07 Is the Project aligned The project will restore and remodify the dilapidated and obsolete with CDS building of the first 58 rest houses that are ready for outsourcing and similarly the remaining rest houses would follow. Where after the private sector may also start establishing tourist facilities in the proposed sites in a regulated manner. It will highlight to the stake holders in tourism that the Public sector is committed to make tourism as a source of income generation. It will also provide insights to the visiting tourists while they are traveling from one site to another which is in line with the comprehensive development strategy.
