How to Lose Weight Rapidly With Molasses & Lemon

Lemon and molasses are a part of the fad diet called the Master Cleanse or Lemonade
Diet. Combining lemon and molasses is a method believed to help you lose weight,
increase energy and detoxify the body, notes the University of Southern California. The
mixture is consumed instead of food for 10 to 40 days to help you reach your desired
weight. The key to keeping the weight off is gradually introducing healthy solid foods
back into your diet.
Step 1
Consult your physician prior to starting a diet with lemon and molasses. Ask your doctor
about any risks or complications that are involved with fasting.
Step 2
Mix 2 tbsp. of lemon juice, 2 tbsp. of molasses and a pinch of cayenne pepper with 10
oz. purified water. Drink the lemon and molasses mixture six to 12 times per day or
whenever you are hungry. Avoid solid foods for the duration of the cleanse.
Step 3
Take a laxative every morning to or do a salt water flush. Combine 2 tbsp. of organic sea
salt with 1 liter of purified water. Expect the mixture to work within one hour of
consuming it.
Step 4
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Keep a liter jug with you at
all times.
Step 5
Transition slowly back to whole foods after completing the cleanse. Stick with healthy
natural foods like fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken and whole grains to keep the weight
off. Avoid processed foods that can cause weight gain. Resist the urge to binge after the
cleanse to avoid rapid weight gain.
