Main Activities and Specific Responsibilities were;

o To promote normal birth prevent birth complications in mother and child the accessing of medical care or
other appropriate assistance and the carrying out of emergency measures.
o Effectively use the resources available to deliver high standard of nursing care;

o Participate in maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment which is conducive to the restoration
of health and well-being;
o Cares for pregnant women during antenatal , labour and postnatal.

o To perform health counseling and education not only for the woman, but also within the family and the
community involving antenatal education and preparation for parenthood extending to women`s health sexual
or reproduction health and child care.
o Act as patient advocate, assess patient status and notify physician of clinical changes
o Inform patient about their medical condition and planned treatment
o To promote breast feeding and abide with the Breast Feeding policy.

o Develop new ideas, clinical programme and services whilst encouraging staff to initiate and actively
participate in projects
o Ensuring adequate fluid intake for patient on nil per oral with the use of infusion pump.

o Provide specialized care direct and indirect care to outpatients within a designated specialty such as
obstetric and neonatal care
o Identify patients care needs

o Providing emergency service to patient before referral for further treatment

As part of my working experience as a registered Nurse (RN), i was employed as Registered Nurse on contract between
January,

2015 to July ,2015 at the Nigeria police Hospital, Akure Chapter; Akure. Ondo state , Nigeria. i was responsible for
general care aimed at preventing, promoting and restoring patients‟ health by providing physical and psychological

support to patients, fr iends and families. I also supervise assigned team members. I worked between 5 th of January,

2015 and 6th of July 2015.

were:

o Administered medications, wound care, and other treatment

options

o Be an active member of the interdisciplinary professional team and works in collaboration with all members of the
