CON RESEARCH AGENDA

1. Health service delivery – Studies that can improve both people-centred and integrated health
services. For people centred, researches that focuses around the health needs and expectations of
people and communities, rather than on diseases. For integrated health services, studies that
encompasses the management and delivery of quality, efficient and safe health services so that people
receive a continuum of health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, disease-
management, rehabilitation and palliative care services, through the different levels and sites of care
within the health system, and according to their needs throughout the life course (WHO, 2020).
Attention is given to the most vulnerable groups, older adults, children and women’s health.

2. Health technology development – Development of any health-related technology to solve health


problems and improve quality of lives of people in the form of devices, medicines, procedures and
systems.

3. Health information system – Studies focus in the improvement of the management of healthcare
data. This includes systems that collect, store, manage and transmit a patient’s electronic medical
record (EMR), a hospital’s operational management or a system supporting healthcare policy decisions.

4. Nursing education – Committed to the improvement in the areas of innovative teaching and learning
strategies, faculty teaching practice, educational teaching materials, nurse faculty and student
relationship, and explores the knowledge, skills and attitude of nursing students. This is to prepare next
generation of nurses who will deliver excellent health care.

5. Health-impacting society, culture and environment – This research priority focuses on the role of
society, culture and environment on health across any healthcare settings and life course.
